Cord blood used to treat two local Leukemia patients

HealthWatch: Cord blood used to treat two local Leukemia patients

“When they sat down with the parents and said with the stem cell transplant we have about a 70 percent chance of long term survival as it was in 2006 we have about a 40 percent chance and the parents played the odds, ” says Pediatric Oncologist, Dr. Arthur Provisor.

More and more people are choosing to store their baby's cord blood because of the success stories like these tow brave children. I hope that more parents will take the time to get educated and aware that this is available to them and could TRULY BE A LIFE-SAVING DECISION. My children's lives are PRICELESS and my wife and I feel this was two of the best decisions we ever made for our kids, banking both of their cord blood at birth.
